The Carbon High Swim Team traveled to Skyline High School in Salt Lake for their first meet of the season. The team also attended a clinic with Skyline to improve their skills the next day.
Emily Jespersen took 2nd overall in the girls 200-yard freestyle, while Matthew Torres pulled in fourth in the boys 200-yard freestyle.
Kinnon Lyman was the highlight of the boys 50-yard freestyle, swimming away with 1st overall in the event. Megan Swasey, Nicole Swasey, Sofia Crompton, and Kacee Barrett teamed up to swim in the girls 200-yard medley relay, pulling away in 3rd place.
Coach Kamra Davis has high hopes for this upcoming season.
“I make goals for all of my swimmers and not one swimmers goals are the same,” she said. “In the big picture, my goal is to have most of my team swim at the state competition.”
The Dinos will travel to Cedar City this weekend for the Cedar City Invitational.
