The Carbon High boys tennis team hosted Maeser Prep on March 19 during a non-region match up. The team then traveled to St. George to compete in a three-day tournament.
According to tennis coach Peter Riggs, Carbon has won several games and points, but not many matches. “This is a game of errors,” Riggs explained. “Consistency will lead to wins and that’s what we are working on.”
The coach explained that the varsity team is constantly rotating. In the next few weeks, it will be determined which players will compete in double and solo matches during region play.
Carbon traveled to Moab to face Grande on Tuesday and will host Springville on Thursday afternoon.
