The Carbon Dinos traveled to take on Richfield for a region matchup on Friday. Carbon walked away with a narrow win, 1-0.
Defender Oscar Jeppson secured the lone goal in the first half. Andrew Williams protected the net for the Dinos, notching a shutout in the game.
“It was a tight match, but in the end Oscar Jeppson scored the game winner with a beautiful header into the corner of the net off of a sweet corner kick cross from Jamin Jensen,” said head coach Chad Cowdell.
The Dinos will battle Payson on Thursday for the region title. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
