Sophomore Taci Tapia was selected to wrestle in this year’s Dollarmur Utah All-Star duel. The event featured six all girl All-Star matches at the UCCU Center on the UVU Campus. A committee selected the wrestlers for the matches based on the season’s success.
Tapia faced senior Kierstien Bush from Bonneville, who has been recognized as an USA All-American. Tapia went down in the duel but was honored for the opportunity to compete. Her mother, Jamill Tapia, said the following after the competition, “Experience definitely won the duel. But nonetheless, we are so extremely excited for this prestigious opportunity that was given to Taci as a sophomore. She was blessed to have coach Paul Neese and her dad Frankie Tapia in her corner.”
