After losing to Union on Tuesday, the Dinos headed to Roosevelt in an attempt to return the favor. Unfortunately for Carbon, the Cougars jumped out to a 11-0 lead over the first four innings, including an eight-run third. Union completed the season sweep over the Dinos with a 15-6 win.
Then, on Saturday, Carbon was back home to face Summit Academy. The Dinos again had to play catch up as they were down 4-0 early. Carbon scored one run in four consecutive innings but also gave up one run to trail 5-4 with one inning left. After a lead off single by the Dinos, Carbon’s next three batters were retired, resulting in the third loss of the week.
Collin Lewis went 3-4 for the Dinos against Summit Academy.
