The Dinos were undefeated in region play going into their home game against the Union Cougars on Tuesday.
Both teams pushed in one run in the first inning and another in the third for a 2-2 tie. Union jumped out in front in the fourth to go up one. With the score still 3-2 entering the sixth, the Cougars put together a big inning and scored 13 runs. Carbon walked in six of those run as the wheels fell off in the 16-2 lopsided affair.
Keaton Rich went 2-4 while Kaleb Nelson had the only RBI in the game for the Dinos.
Carbon (7-8, 6-1 Region 14) will play the Cougars (10-8, 4-2 Region 14) again on Thursday in Roosevelt.
