Castle Country 3A Academic All-State Recipients Announced

As the spring sports are wrapping up for the year, the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) has begun to recognize athletes for their achievements over the past few months. Most recently, Academic All-State recipients were announced.

“For over 25 years, the UHSAA has presented the Academic All-State Award to recognize those students who have excelled in the classroom as well as in athletic competition. Individuals are selected for this award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency,” stated UHSAA Executive Director Robert Cuff.

Castle Country athletes that received this award are as follows:

Baseball – Cade Brazier (EHS), Kyson Stilson (EHS), Logan Healy (EHS) and Rance Jensen (EHS)

Boys’ Soccer – Parker Humes (CHS)

Boys’ Track & Field – Makade Bradley (CHS), Mason Faimalo (EHS) and Keldan Guymon (EHS)

Girls’ Golf – Jessica Hansen (CHS), Samantha King (CHS) and Kayla Winn (EHS)

Girls’ Track & Field – Emma Haddock (CHS)

Softball – Bailey Huggard (EHS) and Madisyn Alton (EHS)

Director Cuff concluded in his statement “…this award is the most prestigious honor the UHSAA presents to senior students. On behalf of all those who are associated with the UHSAA, I congratulate and pay tribute to those individuals who have earned and received this distinguished award.”
