The Castle Country Cancer Coalition is a group that was formed in order to be the local information source for patients, as well as family members, that are impacted by cancer. The coalition assists in gathering information, services, support and financial assistance.
Local resources that work in conjunction with the coalition are as follows: Community Nursing Services, who received a grant from Susan G. Komen and are raising awareness about the issues that can arise from treatments and benefits that therapy can provide.
Castleview Hospital, who provides chemotherapy treatments, transfusions and more. United Way of Eastern Utah has a cancer assistance program. Active Re-Entry provides PERKIE travel, assisting in the cost of transportation for treatment. Look Good, Feel Better Cancer Support has free services for wigs, makeup applications and more. Castle Country Radio provides $100 gas cards for cancer patients needing transportation assistance.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has patient financial aid programs. I Can Cope-Online is a program that teachers patients and their loved ones coping mechanisms. Prescription Coverage Assistance and Image Reborn are also available for assistance.
