For the last several weeks, students in grades 3-6 at Castle Dale Elementary have been competing in chess games with other students in their class. The top three students from each grade will move on to compete in a school-wide chess tournament to determine the school champion.
Castle Dale Secretary Colleen Bott, Custodian Lois Madsen and Resource Teacher Betsy Johnson organized the chess tournament for the students. There are four matches each day and the tournament will progress every day during recess for the next two weeks.
