Sections of sidewalk, curb and gutter are being ripped out in Castle Dale. The special service district is responsible for repairs and lament, however, there’s much to do and not enough budget to cover it.
This year, due to a budget crisis in the county, the budget was slashed in half, leaving workers with the ability to complete fewer jobs. Finally, the service district received the green light to repair cracked or fallen pieces of sidewalk, curb and gutter.
Residents may have noticed missing chunks from their daily route, but not to worry, the special service district is working to make things better. They hope that next year, a bigger budget will mean much needed repairs will come sooner to the cities of Emery County.
