Castle Heights Elementary students participated in the National Walk to School Day. Castle Heights PE Instructor, Bill Bates said this is just another way to get the kids active. He said studies have shown it is critical for kids to be physically active for at least 60 minutes each day. Students gathered at the Dino-Mine Park and walked in groups the rest of the way to class. Bus students were also dropped off at the park to join the fun.
Kristen Taylor with the Carbon County School District, said she loves to take part in school events like this because they are so much fun and all the kids can get involved.
