Following the recent announcement of Castleview Hospital CEO Mark Holyoak being appointed to head a hospital in North Carolina, the Price hospital has now announced the selection of an interim CEO.
Beginning Sept. 12, Jerry Dooley will join the Castleview Hospital team to serve as the interim CEO. Dooley will remain with the hospital until a permanent CEO to replace Holyoak is named.
“We are delighted to welcome Jerry to Castleview as the national search for a new hospital CEO continues,” hospital staff shared. “Jerry is a wonderfully experienced hospital executive who has spent more than a decade serving as interim CEO for hospitals within the LifePoint and Duke LifePoint systems, providing continuity, leadership and direction during transitions such as the recruiting of a new CEO. He has lead teams across the nation and is known for his commitment to quality, operational expertise and good humor.”
The interim appointment comes after the announcement in August of Holyoak’s resignation. His last day at the institution will be Friday, Sept. 7. He will then make the transition to Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC later this month.
“At Castleview, the hospital reached new heights under Mark’s leadership,” said Brad Owens, LifePoint Health Western Group COO. “He led the recruitment of numerous physicians in order to strengthen the medical community in Price. He oversaw multiple, impactful operational improvements enhancing the way the hospital delivers care to the community. He invested time and energy into people, implementing leadership training and other talent development strategies across the organization. And with the support of the entire team, it was with Mark at the helm that Castleview was named a Duke LifePoint Quality Affiliate.”
Holyoak has served in LifePoint hospitals in Utah for two decades and has been an integral part of Castleview for more than eight years.
