Castleview Hospital hosted a meet and greet luncheon Thursday introducing Taylor Greenhalgh, the hospital’s speech pathologist. Greenhalgh has been working at the hospital for four months and has been practicing in his field for five years.

In his presentation, Greenhalgh explained what he does, also expressing that his most important role is to be available to consult with other hospital associates. Greenhalgh works with patients who have lost the ability to do normal tasks, especially work-related tasks. He helps patients with difficulties in speaking, understanding or communicating. Greenhalgh also counsels with patients and families on how to overcome communication barriers.

“It’s an extremely frustrating situation to be in, for the patients and the family,” he said.

Greenhalgh plans on raising his family in the community.
