The cheerleading team from Helper Junior High School conducted a cheer camp for children ages three to twelve Thursday.

Cheer Coach Heele Eden helped the students organize the camp as a community service and fundraiser. For $10, the children were taught cheerleading basics such as stunting, tumbling and cheering. The event also included learning a dance routine and other fun activities.

The camp was a first for the Helper Junior High cheer squad, and they hope to make it an annual event. “We hope it will turn out successfully,” Eden said.
