Local residents can now hang a little Helper on their Christmas tree thanks to artist Karen Jobe Templeton, who has expertly crafted ornaments by hand for her 2017 Christmas Town Collection. Templeton, one of the artists at K2 Gallery, debuted the collection at the gallery’s ribbon cutting in late October.
“Each of these beautiful keepsakes represents a familiar building or storefront found on our historic Helper Main Street,” K2 Gallery shared. “There are four gorgeous designs to choose from, and all are available hand-painted or in classic white.”
Templeton’s creations are available at the Fine Art Christmas Shoppe, located on Helper’s Main Street in the K2 Gallery. The local artist plans to release a new collection each holiday season, crafting her way through Helper’s most historic buildings.
Christmas shoppers can purchase each keepsake for $20 or all four for $75. The Fine Art Christmas Shoppe is also home to a variety of unique gifts and one-of-a-kind items.
Customers can find the new art gallery on Helper’s historic Main Street next to the Strand Theater (102 S. Main). K2 Gallery is open Thursday through Saturday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as during Helper’s First Friday events.
