CHS National Honor Society Welcomes New Members with Open Arms

Carbon High hosted its annual National Honor Society induction ceremony on Thursday at USU Eastern.

The program kicked off with President Makade Bradley welcoming students, parents and others. Then, he introduced the keynote speaker, Frank Peczuh. After Peczuh spoke, the National Honor Society officers each elaborated on the pillars of NHS: knowledge, scholarship, leadership, service and character.

The officers for the 2018-19 school year include Makade Bradley as president, Natalia Hopes as vice president, Kylee Bedke as secretary, Ginny Wood as treasurer, Sydney Sandoval as historian and Abbie Saccamanno as parliamentarian.

After the pillars were presented, they inducted the new members of the National Honor Society. The sophomores included Blake Grundy, Easton Horsely, Isabeau Miller, Haze Newman, Derick Robison, Kaylie Sharp, Grace Stewart and Natale Van Dyke.

The juniors for this year’s society are Bonham Brewer, Hailey Feichko, Torie Hammack, Karina Martinez, Haryley Miglory, Ridic Miglogi, Kaleb Nelson, Angelina Rondinelli and Makayla Taggart.

Finally, the seniors inducted were Haley Baggs, Shawn Bryner, Samantha King, Izabella Marshall, Carson Martines, Daryn Mason, Kayla Maynes, Hannah Miller, Breanna Moosman, Jewelianna Nielsen, Allison Olsen, Adriana Payan, Britlie Sharp and David Stead.
