CHS Student Recognized by the Central Utah Section American Chemical Society

Tyler Yoklavich was recognized on May 8 by the Central Utah Section American Chemical Society as a Top First Year Chemistry student. The awards program took place at BYU and included students from Utah high schools. Tyler, currently a junior, was nominated by teacher Doug Morris at Carbon High School and will be serving as class of 2019 Sterling Scholar for science.

Tyler is able to file this with his list of science related accomplishments, including a trip to the International Science and Engineering Fair in 2015 in eighth grade. Also accepting an award from Carbon High School was Alheli Pendleton, who will be class of 2019 Sterling Scholar in speech and debate.
