The Clawson Town council accepted a resignation from Mayor Dean Allen for medical reasons and appointed Gary Price to fill the vacancy Thursday evening in its first council meeting of the new year.
Other new council members taking the oath of office were Casey Reid and Larry Gregersen for four-year terms. Bill Wagner will fill the two-year position on the council. Jerry Price will remain, filling the other seat on the council.
There was also discussion about Connie Allen’s position as town recorder. Their concern was about her need to be with her husband for personal reasons. The decision was to wait until further medical decisions have been made.
