In celebration of Earth Day, the Green Team of Carbon County will be hosting a “Clean Up Our Town” event in East Carbon and Sunnyside.
This is slated to take place on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. Those that wish to participate in the clean up are asked to bring gloves, trash bags and/or buckets. The Green Team explained that groups will be dispatched to clean different areas.
The focus will be on the Grassy Trail Walking Path, Viking Park and Sunnyside Park. However, if there is enough participation, event organizers are willing to expand and tackle additional areas.
Volunteers should meet at Viking Park, located at 102 Grassy Trail Drive in East Carbon, to participate. Those that are interested can click here to message the Green Team for more information. Or, interested individuals can simply show up at the event to participate.
