Cleveland Town Council appoints new member


Jessie Ward was sworn in as a new Cleveland Town council member Thursday evening during the town’s monthly meeting. Ward has been active in the community for years, helping with events such as Emery recreation. He replaced Carson Grimm as council member until December of this year.

Other items discussed at the meeting:

Cleveland Days is progressing and is on track with food, fun and a scheduled parade.

An outdoor movie will be screened in Cleveland on the June 22. The event will be free to the public and will offer a family friendly movie and popcorn.

A certified tax rate increase was adopted by the council.

The amended 2013 budget and 2014 budget were adopted as well.
