Coal and Fossil Fuel Rally Has Successful First Year in Carbon County

A multitude of people gathered at the Coal and Fossil Fuel Rally on Thursday evening. The free event hosted a number of speakers, activities for kids, food and entertainment.

Alex Epstein headed the event as the keynote speaker. Epstein is the founder and president of the Center for Industrial Progress and is also the author of “Fossil Fuels Improve the Planet” and the upcoming “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels.” Epstein spoke at the rally about the importance of coal and other fossil fuels. Commissioner Mike McKee from Uintah County, Senator David Hinkins and a Representative from the Utah Governor’s Office also spoke to audiences throughout the night.

Those in attendance also enjoyed the Haunted Abandoned Mine Spook Alley and entertainment from the Kahuna Beach Party.
