This isn’t goodbye, it’s simply see you later.

Colleen Evelyn Slaugh Evridge, 83, went to her Father in Heaven on August 10, 2023 due to organ failure.

Colleen came into this world on September 1, 1939, to Clarence and Edith Slaugh in Wellington, UT. She was raised in Wellington with lots of family and friends around her. Colleen was the oldest of four children.

Colleen meet the love of her life, John Wayne Evridge, in William, AZ. They where married on June 28, 1955 in Prescott, Az. They have 4 wonderful children together. Jeneane (Chuck) Warren, Mae (Allan) Sorensen, Billy Evridge and Ray (Tammy) Evridge. They were later sealed to each other and their 4 children on June 3, 1965 in the Mesa, AZ Temple.

Colleen was the Manager at Job Service in Castle Dale for many years. She was also on many different boards and was involved with Emery County Business Chamber. She loved to help out where ever she could. She later went over to Workforce Services in Price, UT as a case manager where she later retired, then off to traveling and camp hosting in different states and working with the Forest Service up Huntington Utah Canyon.

Colleen was a beautiful, amazing lady and had so much love to give to all she came across. She never turned anyone away, no matter what. She loved having her family over for Sunday breakfast, parties or gatherings, or just to be together.

Colleen is survived by 3 of her children Jeneane Warren, Mae Sorensen and Billy Evridge, and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews.

Colleen was greeted in Heaven by her husband John Evridge, parents Clarence and Edith, son Ray Evridge, grandsons Jake Fuller and Wayne Sorensen, granddaughter Lacy Marie Warren, sister Charmaine Sharpe, and brother Warren Slaugh.

A celebration of life will be held on August 26, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home at 620 North Main Street, Huntington, Utah at 1:00 p.m. Colleen and John will be laid to rest in the Castle Dale Cemetery. Friends are welcome to join Colleen family as we celebrate the love and memories she leaves us with.
