Come and Enjoy Live Entertainment at the Carbon County Fair

The Carbon County Fair will take place largely on Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13. Many activities and enjoyment for the whole family are scheduled at the fair, including live entertainment.

On Friday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the FUNdeMENTALS and Marcus Wilson will play.The FUNdeMENTALs are a fun, high energy party band providing great dance music from the 70s, 80s, 90s and current pop hits who play everything from Blondie and Bruno Mars to AC/DC to Kelly Clarkson and Black Eyed Peas. Their music appeals to all ages and have a great stage show that will get the audience on their feet dancing.

Recently, FUNdeMENTALS was one of the headlining bands and performed for over 2,000 people at Provo Freedom Festival 2016. The band performed for over 5,000 at the recent Beach Party for America’s Freedom Festival at The Riverwoods in Provo a few weeks ago. They have also performed for West Valley WestFest, Cedar Hills Family Days, Orem Summerfest, Saratoga Springs Summer Concerts, Lehi Splash Days, American Fork Amphitheater Concert Series, Salt Lake County Fair and the Daybreak SoDa Live summer concert series. FUNdeMENTALS will be performing at Butlerville Days 2016 in Cottonwood Heights before appearing at the Carbon County Fair.

On Friday following the Fundementals, there will be the Magical Minute to Win it contest. Contestants have the chance to win a Disneyland vacation for four that includes park hopper passes, hotel accommodations and a $500 gas card. There will also be a mini and junior Magical Minute to Win It Categories. Winners in each division will walk away with an Xbox One. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. with the actual competition beginning around 7 p.m. in the amphitheater located behind the Carbon County Events Center.

The Demolition Derby will take place on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. Main arena tickets may be purchased in advance. The pricing is $8 for adults and $6 for kids. Tickets are on sale at Tire King, Grako’s Tire Pros, Sutherlands and Carbon County Recreation. Tickets at the gate will be priced at $10 for adults and $8 for kids.

Also on Saturday, the band “Paid in Full” will perform starting at 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the amphitheater behind the events center. This band is back following a wonderful performance at the Carbon County SEUPA Energy Days Celebration. They play a mix of classic rock and pop music and will allow you to catch your second wind and party the night away following the Demolition Derby.
