The first Emery County Commission meeting in August lasted just 15 minutes at the old Emery County Courthouse on Tuesday.
The meeting was short because nearly all of the agenda items weren’t ready for discussion. Commissioners quickly moved to table the items.
Notes:
- Emery County Sheriff Greg Funk commented about the rash of accidents over the past weekend. Funk encouraged people to pay better attention to pedestrians and to avoid texting while driving.
- Commissioner Laurie Pitchforth thanked everyone who helped with the Emery County Fair and Desertview Pro Rodeo. Pitchforth said the events drew large crowds. She also expressed hope that next year’s lamb fry will garner more support.
