The upcoming Warrior Days Celebration was presented to the Carbon County Commissioners at a previous meeting that took place on April 18. A large number of agenda items were set aside at the most recent meeting on Wednesday to further discuss the event.
First discussed was a billboard that would invite many to the event. This billboard would be constructed through Reagan Outdoor Advertising and would be up for the duration of two months. However, Commissioner Jake Mellor informed his fellow commissioners that the opportunity to take the advertisement down after a month was available.
Also discussed was using company Now You See It, for the sound, lighting, stage and musical acts for the event. This would accumulate to a total of nearly $7,500 for the event. Diamond H Rodeo has also been approached for the Warrior Days Rodeo.
Carbon County Attorney Christian Bryner briefly intervened, stating that he was concerned with the language of the contract in regards to insurance. However, after a brief discussion, it was discovered that the company would provide liability insurance, it was simply a concern of the language in the contract that needed to be adjusted.
Midway West and Monroe Magnuson are also slated to participate as far as announcing and master of ceremonies for the bull riding event and more. Subsequently, each of these particular items regarding the Warrior Days Celebration were approved by the commissioners pending changes made to the wording of the contract.
