Community members gathered at the Carbon County Events center on Tuesday to eat hot dogs and enjoy games with local law enforcement and emergency personnel. This event is known as National Night Out and is celebrated annually on the first Tuesday in August.
National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes the partnerships with police officers and the community. The campaign not only happens here locally, but has also been happening throughout the United States for many years now.
Carbon County Sheriff’s Office deputies were in attendance as well as Price City Police, Helper City Police, Wellington City Police, Price City Fire and the Carbon County CERT Team. Not only did attendees get to enjoy free hot dogs and games, but they also received tours of the cop cars, firetrucks and the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office mobile command center.
