Active Re-Entry hosted a free, four-hour budget class on Wednesday.
Active Re-Entry, Vocational Rehabilitation, SEUALG Food Bank, USU Extension and United Way of Eastern Utah all sponsored the class. Lunch was provided and three-month counseling was also offered.
Ellen Serfustini and Chris Jensen hosted the event, which covered many topics. They expressed how much things really cost by showing amounts of money spent over time.
The duo also spoke about rules for family financing, people’s attitude toward money, values, prioritizing expenses and emotions when it comes to budgeting.They taught those in attendance how to schedule non-monthly expenses, create a spending plan and how to set goals.
