Community members celebrated 140 years of Wellington on Friday and Saturday during this year’s Wellington City Pioneer Days. This year’s theme was “Reflecting Back… Looking Forward.”
During this year’s celebration, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a scrumptious dinner provided by the Cowboy Club on Friday as well as a free performance by the Countdown Band. Then, on Saturday, breakfast in the park was provided by city firefighters as well as a parade on Main Street, a cornhole tournament, Fortnite dance off and a fishing tournament. Both days also featured live entertainment and vendor booths.
The celebration was spearheaded by Rory and Sarah Bradley with help from volunteers, city employees and the Wellington City Council.
