Carbon County has, once again, come together and displayed what a tight-knit community it is. On the morning of Thursday, December 8 at approximately 6 a.m. the home of local residents Brandon and Nicole Olsen caught fire. Thankfully, the family and their pets made it out unscathed.

Unfortunately, their home did not fare as well. When the community heard about the accident, they knew it was time to help out. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the morning of Sunday, December 11, Sherald’s Frosty Freeze along with Rochelle Badback hosted a breakfast fundraiser for the family.

Featuring food such as breakfast burritos, french toast sticks, early bird sandwiches and more, there was something for everyone to enjoy. $4,142.08 was raised at the breakfast and 100% of the profit went to the Olsen family. Sherald’s thanked Wayne Clausing and the rest of the staff at Sutherland’s on their Facebook page for also assisting, raising $407.

The family has an account opened at the Eastern Utah Community Credit Union under account number 54191 and appreciate all the help they can receive.
