Despite a cloudy and slightly rainy morning, a number of local community members trekked up Wood Hill to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the anticipated bike trail on Saturday.
After much hard work and combined efforts, the trail was opened for all. The head of the trail has a map set up to guide adventurers on their way and stretches all the way to Kenilworth. Price City Council member Terry Willis spoke on the opening, stating there were many hands that had contributed to the effort.
With the help of Tina Henrie from Carbon County’s Office of Tourism, Willis thanked Fuzzy Nance, commissioner Casey Hopes, SITLA and the BLM, presenting them with plaques to commemorate their involvement.
The Carbon County Office of Tourism expressed their gratitude toward all that helped with the event.
“Thank you to everyone for their support on the Wood Hill Trail Head Ribbon Cutting that took place this past Saturday. It was a great turn out! Special thank you to Lin’s Market for the donuts. We appreciate your support!” the office stated.
