Canyon View Junior High hosted the Family and Consumer Science (FACS) cupcake war on Friday. The cupcake war between San Rafael Junior High and Canyon View Junior High was designed to bring the two schools together for a friendly competition.

The students were to bring homemade cupcakes and all the supplies needed to decorate to the event and had only one hour to finish the cakes. While the students were decorating, three judges based their award decisions on workmanship, appearance, presentation and taste.

The first place winners were Colton Wilson and Kayden Draper of San Rafael. Second place went to Trinity Payne and Dylan Williams of Canyon View and third place was Courtney Lindsey and Brettlyn Tuttle.

Madison Jensen from Canyon View received an award for best table presentation while Sierra Chamberlain and Braydon Lake from San Rafael received an award for most original design. The award for most difficult design went to Shelby Williams from San Rafael and the most colorful award went to Jayla Weston and Kaitlyn Carter from Canyon View.
