According to the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, just before 6 p.m. Tuesday evening a call came into dispatch reporting that someone had been shot near Hiawatha.
Upon arriving at the scene, two Carbon County Sheriff Deputies observed a vehicle that was described in the initial call leaving the scene. The deputies pursued the vehicle in a chase and were able to apprehend one male while other deputies made their way to the scene.
Observed at the scene were two apparent casualties, one male and one female. Ages and identities of the victims have not been released.
One male suspect is being held and questioned at the Carbon County Jail.
