Chris Herrod, Utah’s 3rd District congressional republican candidate, introduced himself and presented his platform to a group of Emery County citizens Thursday evening.
Congress hopeful Herrod presently lives in Ogden with his wife and five children. A former Utah representative, he is experienced in public land, education, immigration, human trafficking and tax issues. He explained that his main concerns include protecting the constitution, re-balancing the branches of U.S. government, and re-establishing the roles of the federal and state government.
Herrod has a master’s degree in organizational behavior from BYU and post graduate studies in International Business from USC. He received the presidential scholarship from BYU at age 16 then traveled abroad with emphasis in Russia and East Germany. He also served an LDS Swedish mission.
“All these experiences make me feel very fortunate to live in the United States,” he said.
