If you are wondering what to do with your live Christmas tree this year, consider donating it to the Division of Wildlife Resources.
This year, the DWR is accepting live Christmas trees in an effort to improve habitat for California quail. These trees will create brush piles that quail and other upland game can use as escape cover.
Tree donations are being accepted at Price’s DWR office. Bring your tree to the office’s parking lot, located at 319. N. Carbonville Road, from Dec. 26 to Jan. 10 to donate.
