As a reading incentive party, students at Cottonwood Elementary had the fun opportunity of making Principal John Hughes into a large ice cream sundae on Monday afternoon. The PTO parents handed each qualified student two cups filled with ice cream or toppings to put on Principal Hughes.
The toppings included all types of syrups, sprinkles, gummy bears or cookie crumbs. Students in grades kindergarten through fifth who had earned the privilege participated in garnishing their principal. Principal Hughes remarked, “It was a pretty tasty experience.”
Following the sundae making in the gym, the students were treated to floats in the cafeteria.
