At Creekview Elementary on Friday afternoon, the fourth graders competed in a spelling bee. The spelling bee was held in the science lab of the school, where teachers, kids and parents all enjoyed watching their students and children show their strengths in spelling.
The competition took place to determine which fourth graders would compete in the school-wide spelling bee that will occur in early January. Each grade is having their own spelling bee to determine who will compete.
The winners of the fourth grade portion of the spelling bee are as follows: Madison Orth, Makayla Wichman, Morgan Luke, Sam Webster, Jewels Birk, Sam Madrid, Gabe Emery, Shalako Gunter, Savannah Justesen, Ember Lyman, Cameron Jones and Allison Wright.
The school-wide spelling bee is going to take place on January 20. The finalists will then compete in the district bee in February.
