Creekview Elementary celebrated its principal, Mr. John Thomas, during a retirement party on Friday. The event was well attended and everyone enjoyed refreshments and visiting with one another. Attendees had the privilege of hearing from a few of Mr. Thomas’ previous co-workers as they shared thoughts and memories of him. Those who spoke were Marilyn Linares and Ken Luke whom he started his teaching career with in Tooele County. Joan Atwood, Christy Jardine and Vickie Leo, who are all past employees of Creekview, also paid tribute to John with their kind words.

Several Creekview staff members performed a dance, “Bye, Bye, Bye,” and the lyrics had been written specifically for Mr. Thomas. The highlight of the event was a video presentation that featured photos of Mr. Thomas for the last 33 years as he touched and changed so many lives. Creekview has truly been blessed to have had such a wonderful friend and leader.

Mr. Thomas, YOU have made a difference and YOU will be greatly missed!
