Creekview Elementary students had the opportunity to enjoy a rock concert Wednesday afternoon thanks to the students’ high scores on the SAGE test last year as well as the schools’ grade in a statewide survey.
Carbon School District made the decision on Oct. 4 when Superintendent Dr. Lance Hatch displayed last year’s SAGE scores and school grades. The superintendent decided to repay the students with a special treat of each schools choice. The board set aside $500 for each school in the district as well as $1 for every student that involved in the celebration.
Creekview Elementary decided to use the money by presenting the students with a rock concert presented by the band Marcus and Guy in honor of their achievements.
