Creekview Elementary hosted DARE graduation, a PEAK activity, and a pioneer day.

On Monday, the PEAK program had a travel day. The event consisted of the students building a scene of a place they would like to travel to, complete with items inspired from that place to sell. PEAK students earned “money” to spend at the event by completed various tasks and activities prior to the event.

Later that day, students enjoyed pioneer day. Students were visited by a group of pioneers that taught them the history of the time through dancing, story telling, and games.

On Tuesday, fifth grade students graduated from the DARE program. Speakers at the ceremony included Sergeant Tracy Allred, Principal John Thomas, and Mayor Joe Piccolo. Six students were also awarded for outstanding essays at the end of the program. The essays described what the students learned from DARE and how they will apply it to their lives.
