Students at Creekview Elementary kicked off the Jump Rope for Heart campaign on Wednesday with a school-wide assembly. Many students displayed their jump roping skills and challenged several teachers to a jump rope duel at the opening event.
Jump Rope for Heart is a fundraising event sponsored by the American Heart Association. Money earned from the campaign will be used for research and education regarding heart disease.
Creekview students are currently gathering donations and will do so until Feb. 18.
