Price City Culture Connection kicked off its summer series with a concert in the Peace Gardens on Thursday. This concert was a tribute to Neil Breinholt and Kathy Hanna-Smith for the time and effort they have dedicated to Culture Connection throughout the past years.
There were many singers throughout the evening, including Jeff Keele, Neil Breinholt, Jennifer Lopez, Kristy Woodhouse and more. The singers were all supported by This is Your Band. A car show, food and lawn games added to the festivities at the gardens for the evening.
Although the weather took a slight turn with dark skies and pressing wind, that didn’t stop the performers from enjoying their time on stage. The band mentioned how thankful they were for the “human sandbags” that held down the tents while the wind went wild. After the wind and rain passed, some of the crowd danced to the lively music.
The next Culture Connection event will be on June 20 at the Price City Peace Gardens at 7 p.m. It will be a “Blast from the Past with Shuffle.” Everyone in the community is invited to bring a lawn chair and blankets to enjoy the free concert.
