CVAA Honor Choir Performance

Castle Valley Junior High/Middle School Honor Choir featuring students from Canyon View, Helper, Mont Harmon and San Rafael Junior highs performed Thursday evening at Mont Harmon. Conducting the members of the choir was guest conductor Joseph Allred, voice instructor at Snow College and Gunnison High School.

The combined choir performed four numbers, “Sing for Joy,” “The Arrow and the Song,” “She Sings” and “How Can I Keep From Singing.” The boys choir performed “She is Evening” and the girls sang “Peace On Earth…and Lots of Little Crickets.”

Soloists and ensembles from the previous solo and ensemble festival also performed. These performances included outstanding male vocalist Byron Christiansen and outstanding female vocalist Brynne Urie. Other soloists and ensembles performing were Myah Barr, Samantha Schaugaard, Brookelyn Clifford, Emily Parry, Rachelyn Bowman, Kaylee Jensen, Sally Shepherd, Mimi Wilmonen, Lily Smith, Kayla Lee, Haley Guymon, Kadrianne Bird and Katie McCandless.
