Residents at Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center presented a patriotic program under the direction of Cierra Price, the center’s activity director, on Thursday afternoon.
Price gave a brief history of the beginning of Independence Day and Pioneer Day to open the program. Then, six residents, including Jean Scovill, DeeDee Madsen, Linda Ware, Janet Magnuson, Shirley Hammond and Elizabeth “Sweetie” Anderson, danced with glow wands in their hands to “Sunshine in My Pocket” and the “Chicken Dance” song.
Next, everyone was invited to join them in the Macarena. The finale was a big cheer complete with pom-poms for ECCRC. The afternoon program was a bright spot for other residents and audience.
