Carbon County Search and Rescue will hold its annual demolition derby June 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. The derby is a critical fundraising event for the team.
Proceeds from the event fund training for team members and help purchase equipment. With such a varying terrain to cover and the necessity for the team to be ready at a moments notice, having the right equipment is critical to the effectiveness of the organization.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 for adults and $6 for children 6-12. Tickets are available at Tire King, Swifts in Helper and Single Stop in Wellington. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate for an additional $2 apiece. Gates open at 4 p.m.
