Department of Workforce Services to Temporarily Close Price Office

Department of Workforce Service (DWS) Castle Country Service Area Manager Nicole Steele recently announced that, due to the public health concerns that are related to COVID-19, the Price Employment Center will be begin delivering all of its services entirely online, over the phone, via email and through live chat beginning on April 17.

The office will not be open for walk-in customer traffic for the time being, with the health and well-being of the customers and staff being made top priority. The shift in the service delivery model is in support of the Governor’s “Stay Safe, Stay Home” directive and will be in effect until further notice. During the change, the center is still open for business and will be working diligently to assist those that have been impacted with loss of employment and the need for public assistance.

Access to both information and applications for all of the DWS services and programs, including education, training, job searching, unemployment insurance, workshops, SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, child care and financial assistance will be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week at www.jobs.utah.gov.

“We encourage everyone interested in applying for these services to use our online resources, and we appreciate your assistance in directing anyone you would normally refer our way to the website,” Steele stated.

The page is updated frequently and is able to be utilized as a resource for those that are inquiring about Workforce Services support.
