Carbon County Sheriff’s Deputies rushed to assist in a high speed pursuit Friday afternoon in Price. It was the second time law enforcement officers were involved in a chase in less than 14 hours.

The afternoon pursuit started on East Coal Creek Loop, continued on Airport Road, then on through the Castle Heights subdivision. The deputies were finally able to stop the suspect at 760 West Carbonville Road.

The earlier chase involved a motorcycle, which evaded police only to lose control coming into Wellington. The man and woman on the motorcycle were thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

Because the investigation of the later pursuit is ongoing, Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova could not give any information concerning individuals involved, or the reason for the chase. Check etv10news.com on Monday for more information.
