The Desert Wings RC Club hosted a Fun Fly on Saturday morning at the model airport located near the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
Spectators witnessed demonstration flights, took part in a flight simulator and gathered information about the remote control hobby.
Although strong winds grounded some aviators, others took to the sky and performed simple aerial maneuvers while others risked it all by demonstrating techniques such as flying upside down, only inches from the ground.
Desert Wings members encourage anyone interested in the hobby to stop by the field. Pilots can usually be found at the airstrip Saturday and Sunday mornings.
