Open houses will be held to provide information on changes to public lands resulting from the enactment of the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act, which was signed into law by President Trump on March 12.
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office will hold open houses at the following locations:
Sept. 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Uintah and Ouray Tribal Offices, 1400 S 7002 E, Fort Duchesne
Sept. 10, 5-7 p.m., Uintah Conference Center, 313 E 200 S, Vernal
Sept. 11, 5-6:30 p.m., Manila Senior Citizens Center, 145 UT-43, Manila
Sept. 12, 5-7 p.m., Crossroads Senior Citizens Center, 50 E 200 S, Roosevelt
During these open houses, staff members will discuss changes and designations within the boundary of the BLM Vernal Field Office, specifically the Ashley Springs Land Conveyance, the John Wesley Powell National Conservation Area and the McCoy Flats Mountain Bike Trail System.
The BLM Price Field Office will hold open houses at the following locations:
Sept. 17, 5-7 p.m., Carbon County Recreation Dept., 450 S Fairgrounds Rd., Price
Sept. 18, 5-7 p.m., John Wesley Powell Museum, 1765 Main St., Green River
Sept. 19, 5-7 p.m., Emery County Court House, 75 E Main St., Castle Dale
These open houses will focus on changes and designations within the BLM Price Field Office, specifically the Jurassic National Monument, the San Rafael Swell Recreation Area, the Green River wild and scenic river designation, additions to the National Wilderness Preservation System, Emery County Land Conveyances, and a land exchange between the BLM and Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration.
