Dinner in the Dark Event to Raise Funds for Leber Congenital Amaurosis

Dinner in the Dark will take place on Oct. 18 at the Tuscan in honor of young Oakley Giraud.

Giraud is a local child who has been diagnosed with Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA), a rare retinal degenerative disease. The illness has left Giraud legally blind and she will eventually lose her sight completely.

It is estimated that only 3,000 LCA cases exist in the United States. Because the disease is so rare, little to no funding is available for research and possible treatment. Funds raised at the upcoming event will help go towards research to find a cure for LCA.

For tickets, please call (435) 650-8877 or (435) 650-3306.
