At a make-up competition against Canyon View last week, the Carbon High Dino wrestling team faced a number of wins and losses against a team they had fought earlier in the season, all the while preparing for the chance to hit the mat at the state tournament.
Despite being down a number of members due to illness and injuries, the team is wrestling at its best according to head coach Brock Fausett.
The team is currently looking to this weekend for their next chance at victory. The divisional competition will be held in Juab on Friday and Saturday where team members may qualify for the state competition.
This weekend’s competition will also feature wrestlers from the 3A southern region as well.
Twenty wrestlers will represent the Blue and White at the competition and Fausett remains hopeful that he will be able to send as many as possible on to the next round of competition.
